Welcome to Inspiration in Recovery

Where real stories become real songs — songs that heal, songs that lift, songs that change lives.

My name is Troy, and I created Inspiration in Recovery because I believe something with all my heart:

**Your story has power.

Your story has purpose.
And your story is not over.**

I’ve walked my own long road through addiction, brokenness, shame, and the fight to find my way back to God.
That testimony is now part of this mission — to help others feel seen, heard, understood, and never alone.

When someone shares their recovery story with me, I take it seriously.
I read every word, pray over it, and pour my heart into turning that story into a faith-based, inspirational song — not for fame, not for money, but to give hope to the next hurting soul who needs it.

A smiling couple taking a selfie inside a house. The woman is leaning over the man, both wearing red shirts. The background shows a window with a curtain and some artwork on the wall.

100% Anonymous. 100% Free. 100% Real.

You never have to share anything you’re not comfortable with.
You never have to give your real name.
Your identity will never be revealed.
Your story will be treated with respect, dignity, and complete confidentiality.

This is a safe place for:

  • People in recovery

  • People still struggling

  • People who slipped

  • People who got back up again

  • People seeking God

  • People who aren’t sure what they believe yet

  • People who survived

  • People who are trying

  • People who want their pain to help someone else

No judgment. No pressure. No expectations.
Just a place where your journey matters — more than you know.

A wooded forest path with green trees on both sides leading to a glowing cross in the distance, illuminated by sunlight.

Your Story Could Save Someone’s Life

There are people right now who feel hopeless.
People fighting addiction.
People praying for a sign.
People begging God for strength.
People who think no one understands.

Your story — YOURS — could be the one that reaches them.

One line from your testimony
One moment from your pain
One lesson from your healing

…could become the words that keep someone else going.

How It Works

1

Share Your Story

Fill out the anonymous form below. You can be completely nameless or use a nickname. You decide what to share and what to leave out.

2

I Write Your Song

I read your story, pray over it, and write a faith-based song that reflects your journey, your struggles, and the hope you’ve found (or are still searching for).

3

It Reaches Others

The song gets shared on the Inspiration in Recovery channel to encourage others who feel alone in addiction, shame, or pain. Your story becomes hope.

Your Story Is Safe Here

  • Your identity will never be revealed.
  • You can stay completely anonymous or use a nickname only.
  • You control what details are shared and what is kept private.
  • If there’s anything you do not want mentioned in the song, just tell me in the form.

This is a space for honesty, healing, and hope — not judgment.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will people know it’s me?

No. Unless you specifically ask to be named, your identity is protected. I won’t share real names, locations, or any details you request to keep private.

Does this cost anything?

No. This is 100% free. It’s my way of giving back and using music to point people toward hope, faith, and recovery.

Do I have to be “doing great” in recovery?

Not at all. You can be in early recovery, still struggling, or even unsure where you stand. Your honesty is more important than perfection.

What if I’m not very religious?

That’s okay. You can still share your story. I write from a faith-based perspective, but I meet you exactly where you are.

* Indicates required question

What was life like during active addiction? What was your rock-bottom moment or turning point? How did faith, God, Jesus, or a Higher Power show up for you? Where are you at today in your recovery?

Example: “I wasn’t a bad person — I was a sick person trying to feel okay.”

Examples: 47 days — 3 years — still in early recovery — multiple years with slips, etc.

Examples: Psalm 40:2 — “He lifted me out of the slimy pit” — feeling of hope, redemption, grace, fighting shame, etc.

Specific drugs, locations, names, certain events, etc. — I will honor every single one of these.

Only if you’d like me to privately let you know when your song is finished and posted. I will never share it or add you to any list.

Please avoid sharing full legal names, exact addresses, or anything you personally don’t want included.
